Happy Belated Mother's Day!

I'd like to wish all the Moms out there a Happy Belated Mother's Day! I hope your day was special! We had a nice day (although it was rainy and cold!) My daughter's 3rd birthday was last week so we had her party for the family on Mother's Day because my Dad came in from out of town for it. It was a special day and she had a great time! Now that I have given out my presents to my Mom, MIL and Step-Mother, I can post pictures, yay! They each received a Monogrammed Note Card set; a nugget tin, coaster post-it holder and pen. I used different designer series paper for each set. On one I used Spring Fling, one was Berry Bliss and one was Ginger Blossom. I bought the nugget tins and plastic sleeve for the note cards from Papertrey Ink.
Here is a picture of all the goodies together. I got all the information to make these from Splitcoast Stampers. You can't really see it in the picture, but I also used SU Rub-ons on the clear plastic on the nugget tins. I used coordinating cardstock for the base of the note cards and then just white for the front. I stamped various images, also in coordinating ink. I used my Brushstroke Alphabet to stamp the monogram. They turned out very pretty and were well received. Also, very easy to make!

Here is a closer picture of another set of note cards:
I used several different stamp sets for the note cards and of course stamped all the envelopes.

Tutorial on Altered Pen here.

To cover the nuggets in the tin I just cut a piece of DSP 1" x 3.25" and ran it through my Xyron and attached to the nuggets.

For the note cards all you need to do is cut a 8.5 X 11 piece of cardstock into 4. Each white piece is 4" x 5.25". The strip of DSP is 4" x 1". I used the Scallop Circle Punch with the same color cardstock.

I know I used a tutorial for the post-it holders, but I can't find it. The gallery at Splitcoast has a bunchy of these! The coaster is 4x4 so I just cut 2 pieces of DSP 4x4 and glued them to the front and back of the coaster. After it was dry I sanded the the edges and then I used mod podge to cover the coaster and let it dry. I then used glue to adhere the post-its to the coaster. For the binder clip I just measured the size of the binder and cut the DSP to fit. I ran the DSP through my Xyron and attached it to the binder. Then attached the binder to the coaster and tied a piece of ribbon. Voila. Very simple!

Oh and I made matching criss cross Mother's day cards for each Mother and don't you know I forgot to take pictures or scan them in! Duh! They were cute too!

I am so behind on blog hopping. I tried to catch up this weekend, but there was just too much going on. I know I'm missing out on many new creations! I was finally able to clean up my craft area on Saturday. It was getting way out of hand and I tend to avoid it when it is too messy! Hopefully I can spend some more time this week.
