Mini Purse!

I was going through my pictures and couldn't believe I didn't post this little creation! In January I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Stampin' Up!'s annual leadership conference in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a 3D swap I made with a get together with some of my friends from Stampin' Addicts!

Isn't it cute? It is a little purse that holds a couple 3D cards!

Lazy Sunday

I spent all day on the couch on Saturday under the weather and when I woke up on Sunday feeling better I decided I needed to stamp! My daughter thought that was a great idea so we went off to stamp together. She was having fun making cards for all her friends and I was having fun making gifts for my club members. We had an enjoyable morning! I'm glad we did this in the morning, because by the afternoon she was on the couch sick :(

Here is what she did:
She is learning how to write so she would ask me how to spell her friend's names. Aren't these so cute!

Mine aren't as cute, but it is my blog so I get to share :)

I made wish lists and little post it key chains for my new club members. The pens I purchased at convention. The directions for the post-it key chains can be found here. I used the new owl punch that I swore I would not purchase. Well, fortunately I saw the error in my ways and purchased it! That was a close call! LOL

I am so happy that my daughter loves stamping. I can't wait until she is old enough to scrapbook with me :) Actually, I take that back. I can wait. Time is going by too fast as it is!

Altoid Tin

Sorry about the blurry image! I had fun playing with more new product in the catalog! The paper flowers are white and you can die them! How fun is that? Then, of course, you can have any color flowers you want!!! COOL!

This was a tin I made for a convention swap! This would be great for a gift card or some little treats for a party favor! I put a few antique brads in them for my swap.

I just followed the directions in the catalog to color the flowers. You just add some reinker to water and let the flower soak for a moment then take out to dry. Easy!

Convention Time Again!

Can you believe another year has passed? I just returned from another fun trip to Salt Lake City for Stampin' Up!'s annual convention and I had so much fun! I learned some fun new techniques that I can't wait to share with my customers and I had a blast with my friends! I've been waiting to share this swap because I didn't want to ruin the surprise, but here is what I did for a Christmas Card swap at Stampin Addicts meet and greet! Isn't it just so adorable? I was just so pleased with this card and anyone that signs up for my Christmas Card Class in October will get to make it!

Rag Quilt Purse

I am a purse freak! Really, ask my husband and he will tell you! I love purses. I swear I was born holding a purse! Anyway, imagine my delight when I realized I could combine two of my great loves . . . purses and Stampin' Up! Doesn't seem likely does it? Well that is what I thought until I saw what people were doing with fabric and their Big Shot Machine! Even though I found these creations all over the place, I never thought I could actually do it. I don't sew. I used a sewing machine once to make some VERY simple curtains and that was like 14 years ago! When I get a hole in clothing or a button falls off I throw it away! Anyway, in April I attended a Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar and got to hang out with some friends when I arrived! The plan was to hit a couple of scrapbook stores and quilt shops. While browsing the quilt shops I was talking to my friend Kim at Stichin n Stampin' about how much I love purses and I would love to make one of those Rag Quilt Purses that I see everywhere and she told me how easy it would be and gave me all kinds of advice on how to do it and what I would need to get started. I ended up buying some fabric. Upon returning home Kim was kind enough to send me some different varieties of batting to try! As usual, life got busy, the fabric began collecting dust and I didn't have hopes of ever getting to it! (I even talked my mom into giving me her old sewing machine that was collecting dust!) If you are still reading this, I bet you are wondering if I have a point, well I do :) Last weekend I decided to blow the dust off the fabric and sewing machine and make my first Rag Quilt Purse! As I said, I am not a sewer, so this took some trial and error and my sewing wasn't perfect, but, I love this purse!! I am using it and I have gotten more compliments on it than any other purse I've ever carried and I've only been carrying it for 3 days! So, you wanna see it???

What do you think? Pretty isn't it?! Of course purple is my favorite color. I watched the videos over at Chic' n Scratch and she does an awesome job of instructing you on how to make this!

The new colors are gorgeous! There are new accessories, new stamps, new ribbon! oh my! Oh my goodness, am I blogging?

I am, I am! I have been trying to get here and post, but something always gets in my way! Life is busy, but wonderful, so I can't complain there :) I am excited that winter is finally behind us and we can get on with spring and summer a/k/a Camping Season!

Last weekend I was able to attend the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Milwaukee and got to spend time with some of my good friends and meet a few new friends! I also learned a lot of neat techniques and had just a great time!

I do have something to share with you today, I was in a secret Easter Bunny swap and this is one of the things I made my bunny, I am addicted to making these mini pizza boxes and have been playing around with different sizes. This one was big enough to hold 6x6 paper on the inside.

I used Old Olive for the Base, Sweet Pea DSP for the front, Chocolate Chip for the "E" and some Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon tied around the box. Two pretties flowers and some Chocolate chip Corduroy buttons finished it off. I thought it was cute!

Build A Bear

I was excited when I finally purchased the Build A Bear die and used it for some gifts I gave to my friend's kids for Christmas!

Has it been another month already? Apparently time is going by faster than I think, which is bad because I feel like it is just flying! Anyway, I have lots of stuff to share, so hopefully I can get caught up on my blog :)

It was a teeny bit time consuming putting it all together, but it was worth it in the end. The best part is I can use it every year by changing out the last pennant and making a new on for that year!

Yes, I realize Thanksgiving was LAST week and my last post was a MONTH ago! Better late than never, right? It's the thought that counts, right? LOL I have been busy, busy, busy! Family, work, life, crafting, you know the drill! But I wanted to check in here and post something!!

These are a couple pictures from Thanksgiving day:

This is my Thankful banner that I created and showed you a while back. I hung it on the mantel over the fireplace! It looked so nice!

Next is my beautiful table! I spend as much time on my table as I do cooking!

The flowers are not real :( but I did fill the vase up with some shredded card stock to add some color!

I ran out of time to make the napkin rings, so I just tied a bow around the top of the napkin using Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon. It looked great and worked perfectly with these napkins!

It was a good day filled with good food and family. Hope your Thanksgiving was as blessed as mine!

I am alive :) Just been incredibly busy this last month. And of course we are embarking on the holiday season so it will remain busy. Can you believe it is November? Seriously? What happened to June, July, August, September and October? This year has gone so fast!

I am sure I don't need to tell you how much I love My Digital Studio, but in the event you have not read any of my previous posts, let me tell you that I love Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio! It is truly a digital paper crafting wonderland! I was playing around one night and came up with an idea for a card for my upcoming fall themed class, but it was getting late and I didn't really feel like stamping (what???) it wasn't that I didn't feel like stamping, it was that I didn't feel like CLEANING my stamp room so I could stamp! You know what I'm talking about, right? Any who, I was already surfin' the net so I decided to open up MDS and put my ideas on there. This is what I came up with, basically a card sketch:

I made this a 6x6 card in MDS (not sure why) so, in my opinion, there is a lot of open space. My mission was accomplished!

Then a day later, when I did feel like cleaning, I decided to create it in real life! And here is what I came up with:
I did change the colors a bit and the stamp set, but the basics are the same. And I did make this a 5.25 x 5.25 card, which I never do!

Does everyone know that Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio is awesome??? It will be available to customers on October 1st! It is just so much fun to play with. I was taking pictures of my projects for my fall class and I decided to do a layout of them to use on my flyer! I didn't add too many embellishments, but I really like the way it turned out.

If you have a Big Shot and you haven't purchased the Movers and Shapers Die you must do it NOW, it is so awesome! All you have to do is place a 6x12 piece of card stock through and it cuts it, scores it and makes the window of whichever shape you have placed in it! Awesome! I will admit I did not use the 6x12 recommended size, but you just have to make sure that your piece covers the cut lines.

Card stock: Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Shimmery White

Identity Crisis!

I mentioned the other day about the under $10 page in the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog and I'd like to direct your attention there again today! This beautiful stamp Dasher is located on that page, isn't it gorgeous? Love it! Except my dasher wants to be like Rudolph (hence the identity crisis!)

Stamps: Dasher, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card stock: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Merry Moments DSP; Shimmery White
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die, Modern Label punch and Movers and Shapers Modern Label die, Real Red brad.

To make the Scallop Square card just cut your 8.5 x 11 card stock in half, like normal, and fold in half. You want to place the card stock so that open part covers the bottom of the scallop square and line the folded part of the card stock in between two scallops. Does that make sense? If not, let me know and I'll post pictures!

My Digital Studio is here! I was one of the lucky ones that won a copy of My Digital Studio at convention and I am so excited!! It arrived today and even though I am not feeling well I had to install it an play! The possibilities with the program are endless and I cannot wait to learn more about it! This software will be available for purchase on October 1st!!!

So basically I just started new projects and played around with adding images and embellishments. I have to say that when I heard Stampin' Up! was coming out with digital scrapbooking software I didn't really thing I would be interested. I am a traditional scrapbooker and I don't really like change ;) However, after seeing this software demonstrated at convention I knew I HAD to have it!!! (And that was before I won it!) I am not giving up "old school" scrapbooking! But I definitely see incorporating more digital scrapbooking!

I guess most kids are back in school already, but my daughter did not start back to preschool until today! I wanted to send her teachers a little something so I decided to decorate a frappuccino bottle filled with M&Ms!

Definitely Decorative

When Stampin' Up! came out with the decor elements (now Definitely Decorative) line I honestly did not think I would have any purpose for it. We do not do much decorating in our home and most of our walls are white with very few pictures, that is just our preference. But after realizing that this line is not just for walls I decided I better try it! I bought the Spooky Expressions, it comes in a set of 3 for only $4.95, which is a great deal. Once I had them I had to figure out what to do. My first thought was to buy a glass jar and make a candy dish, but these are larger than I anticipated (5 3/8 x 4 1/4) and I couldn't find a jar that I was happy with. I found this candle holder and decided it would be perfect! The candle is a pumpkin spice candle. The Definitely Decorative products are very easy to adhere, although I admit I didn't read the directions at first so I tore my first smile :( But that was my fault. Once I read the directions (like a good little girl) I was able to adhere this to the jar with no problem! The great thing about this project is that after Halloween I just pack it up and use it again next year! The new Definitely Decorative brochure has A LOT of products to choose from!

Summer Gift Bag

I needed a gift bag for a prize at one of my recent events and I could not find anything that would really fit what I was giving away (one of the Mini Note Kits in the Under $10 section of the catalog). So I said to myself WWOSD? (What would other stampers do?) and my answer was, make something to fit around it! So I took the Mini Note Kit and put it on a piece of this beautiful retired Summer Picnic DSP and measured around it so that I could use one piece of paper and I scored around the edges so I basically wrapped the Mini Note Kit in the paper and left the top open, so you could take it out. I added two holes to the top and tied some Real Red 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon through the holes. For a little extra I added a flower from the pretties kit, and took the large Real Red button from the Playground designer buttons with some White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon through it for the center of the pretties button. Very simple and it was a huge hit!

If you haven't seen these Mini Note Kits, you need to look at them (sorry I don't have a picture, but I gave it away!) You can find them on page 208 of the current Idea Book & Catalog. They come with a couple of small stamps, note cards and a classic stampin' spot for ONLY $9.95! This is a perfect gift for anyone!!!

Yes, this is another convention swap! The funny thing about this swap is that I thought it would be so easy to do, but I had a VERY hard time with it, but when it was done, it turned out to be my one of my favorite swaps!! Technique: brayered sky (Yes, I did brayered sky on the 1 1/4 " circle behind the bat. It was actually very easy, I did the sky across a piece of Whisper White and then cut all the circles at once!)

As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to use it for embossing! I envisioned using Night of Navy cardstock and silver embossing powder layered on Brushed Silver, but I just love this ribbon and I just don't think it would work with that color combo. :) Can anyone else believe we are almost to September? I am curious to know what happened to summer???? Please let me know if you find out! LOL

We've been busy, we just got back from Myrtle Beach too! Had an awesome time!!!! Although it rained at night occasionally, the days were sunny and beautiful.

My Baby is 4!

My baby recently turned 4! ACKK! I used my Cricut to make her invitations and I wanted to make her cake match so I figured out a way to use my Cricut on her cake!!!

OK, so I didn't actually use my Cricut ON her cake, I just made the paper doll and put it on her cake! I bought this great paper at my LSS, you can't really see it in the picture, but it is glittery and so adorable!

I made the party favors using the same paper and my the Matchbox Die from Stampin' Up!'s current Occasions Mini Catalog.

Now that her birthday is over I have the paper doll to use in her scrapbook! How smart am I?? (I am sure no one ever thought to do this before! LOL)

DVD Tin

This is the outside. I used Raspberry Tart DSP, I love this paper! (And now is a great time to buy it because you can buy 3 packs and get one free!) I cheated and used my Cricut for the Notes, but everything else is SUO.

Chicago Layout

I'm looking back to try to determine what I haven't posted and I haven't posted many projects at all over the past few months!! The good news is life is good, just busy :) I wanted to share a layout with you since I do not normally get the opportunity to! This is a layout I created for a Scrapbook Challenge I volunteered to handle a couple months ago at a great new site I belong to called Stampin Addicts! I love these colors together! Last year DH and I took a weekend trip to Chicago for our anniversary, just the two of us and it was awesome! This is one of the layouts I created from that trip:

Stamps: Outline Alphabet
Cardstock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Corduroy buttons, linen thread, eyelet border punch.

This is a very simple layout. I usually use more pictures on a page, but for this one I just wanted to keep it simple!

I think that is the longest time I've been away from my blog! It has been so busy here! And I am way late with posting this, but this is a card I made for a swap I was in! This is a set out of the new Occasions Mini called Hoppy Easter.
Stamps: Hoppy Easter
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink; Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa; Certainly Celery and Watercolor.
Ink: Perfect Plum; Watercolor Pencils; Blender Pens
Accessories: Scallop Oval Punch, Small Oval Punch; Tab Punch; Large Oval Punch; Pink Taffeta ribbon.
Technique: Watercolor

To make the grass I just used my paper snips and cut little strips and then made it hilly.

I'll leave you with this awesome desert I made for Easter! It is a Chocolate Covered Oreo Cookie Cake that I found in a magazine!
1 pkg devils food chocolate cake mix
4 squares semi-sweet baking chocolate
1/4 cup butter, cut up
1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups thawed whipped topping
12 oreo chocolate cookies coarsely crushed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare and bake cake mix as directed on package in two 9-inch round baking pans. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely on wire racks.

Microwave chocolate and butter in small microwaveable bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 minutes.

Beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on med. speed until well blended. Gently stir in whipped topping and crushed cookies. Place 1 cake layer, top-side down, on serving plate. Spread top of layer evenly with cream cheese mixture. Cover with remaining cake layer, top-side up. Spoon chocolate glaze over top of cake. Let stand until set. Store in refrigerator. Makes 16 servings.

This is a card I made using a set coming up in Stampin' Up!'s next mini catalog, which will be available for purchase April 1st! This set is called Very Versatile and it is! It has several different sentiments as well as an image and there are lots of things you can do with this! I designed this card for my next card class, simple and effective!

Stamp Set: Very Versatile
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Old Olive
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Accessories: Oval Scallop Punch, Button Latte, Linen Thread, Sponge.

I sponged around the base of the cardstock just a little and also sponged the main image and the oval image.

I am going to try something new, if I can remember ;) If I make a card or project that is Stampin' Up! Only ("SUO") meaning I use ONLY Stampin' Up! product, then I am going to put SUO in the label. That way if anyone is looking specifically for SUO, they will be able to find it easily. My cards are mostly SUO because I tend to demo them, unless they are special, my scrapbook pages are not because I use my Cricut!

Speaking of Cricut, I went to a biannual scrapbook retreat this weekend and had a blast. I took my Cricut and I think I used it on 90% of my pages and I did 38 pages. Not as many as last time, but I had more friends go with me this time so it was more socializing than before!

When we did our new catalog swap a 3x3 card swap was added in for the fun of it! These are somewhat out of my comfort zone, because they are so small! I find it very hard to fit what I want on them, usually, however, this one just came to me and I was very pleased with it.

A Swap Card!

This is a recent swap card I did with some of my online demo friends! The swap was after the new catalog was released and we all picked a new set. I decided to go with the Chalkboard technique.

Stampset: Wonderful Watercolor
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Perfect Plum and Very Vanilla.
Ink: White Craft; Stampin' Pastels
Accessories: Scallop Envelope Bigz Die, Ticket Corner Punch; Very Vanilla 5/8" grosgrain ribbon; Filigree Brads, dimensionals.

This technique is very easy. You just take a dark color cardstock and stamp your image using White Craft Ink. Then, using sponge daubers, use Stampin' Pastels and color your image. When done, lightly wipe the image using a swiffer cloth.

Have you ever made a card with no accessories? Just cardstock and ink? I do not think I have and then a friend one of my online friends issued a challenge. Make a card using only cardstock and ink, no tools, no accessories nothing! I thought, no way can I do that. Then it all came to me, I needed a birthday card from my friend's son and I knew I wanted to use the pickup from Loads of Love. Here is what I came up with:

Cardstock: Kraft; Ink: Basic Black, Tango Tangerine; Old Olive; Chocolate Chip, Ballet Blue and Real Red. Stamps: Loads of Love, Wild About You, It's Your Birthday (?).

I tried to mask the truck so it looked like the giraffe and trees were behind it. And I may have cheated a little and used a sponge to sponge in some "sky" and "grass". But it needed a little something at the top. I was pretty pleased with this. Who knew it was possible to make a cute card without accessories!

Scrapbook in a Box

My wonderfully talented friend Amy at A New Song had the directions for these Scrapbook in a Box on her blog. I had always wanted to try this but always thought it was too complicated

I used Raspberry Tart DSP, the base of the box is Old Olive (it should be Kiwi Kiss, but I didn't have any 12x12 in Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive was the closest I had). The top of the box is Pretty in Pink and used some of the xtra strips of the DSP around the edges. I wasn't sure what do for the top and was looking through my Big Shot goodies and decided on the Scallop Envelope filled with the Sweetest Stem embosslits in Pretty in Pink and Cameo Coral. I stamped Everything from the Always stamp set in Ruby Red on the Scallop Envelope and added a small button. Inside I used some more Sweetest Stem embosslits and the Simple Flower with a Clear Rhinestone Brad. I can't wait to fill it up with pictures!

Goody Goody Gumdrops

The other day when I was making some cards my DD came up to my desk and asked me to make her a card. How could I turn her down, especially when she said "Please, Mommy?". Anyway, I went very simple and just played with one of my newer sets:

I used the Goody Goody Gumdrops stampset. Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Pixie Pink and Close to Cocoa. Ink: Pixie Pink, Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Close to Cocoa and Yo Yo Yellow. Accessories: Square Scallop Punch and Red Gingham ribbon.

I asked her what she thought and she said "Oh, it is so cute mommy!"

Target Mailbox

I finally altered a Target Mailbox!!!! I couldn't post it right away though because I sent it to my Cupidee for the Secret Cupid Swap.
I used the pink target box; Stamps: Love you Much; Paper: Candy Lane DSP, Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White; Accessories: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon, button bouquet.
If you need to know how to do this, visit this blog for very good step by step instructions! I filled this with chocolate and a little 3x3 notecard (see next picture) revealing that I was her secret cupid!
Here is the other stuff I sent my cupidee. I found the notepad at Michael's and cut some chipboard a little bigger than the notepad and covered it with Tea Party DSP.
I made a Double Pocket Bag (tutorial here) and filled it with a couple of embellishments. The bag is made using the Candy Lane DSP, the Love you Much stamp set, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon and the 3 heart punch.

I also sent her a craft keeper with some other little things, but I didn't take a picture of those!

Valentine

Yes, I realize Valentine's day is over, but I didn't get the opportunity to make any Valentine's until AFTER Valentine's Day!! I made this for my DH.

Stamps: Love you Much; Cardstock: Real Red, Pretty in Pink and whisper White; Accessories: Priceless Classy Brass Template, Real Red 5/8" grosgrain and Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain.

The picture doesn't really show it, but I dry embossed the heart from the Priceless Classy Brass Template and then paper pierced around it.

Cupid Day 3 - Reveal

I am a few days late posting this! Day 3 was on Valentine's Day and it was also reveal day for our cupid swap. My cupid DID NOT disappoint! She made me this beautiful box filled with candy, a candle, lotion and little magnets. It is so beautiful. I just loved all my gifts! I was so excited to see what was in the box I forgot to take the picture before undoing the ribbon and then I couldn't get it back on too look as good :( I just love this DSP too!

Cupid Day 2

I didn't have to wait long, since today is Day 2! I'm just behind in posting the pictures!

Day 2 is equally as awesome as Day 1. Again my Cupid pays attention.

See? Isn't it beautiful? My favorite color!!! There are four little packages in here each filled with something special! It is like opening 5 presents today! The big one and four little ones.

Inside (1) is Strawberry cream flavored Hershey Kisses! yumm, (2) is a little lip balm and fingernail polish! fun, (3) is little heart shaped gum drops!, yumm again and (4) is an assortment of Stampin' Up! brads which include some of the new Corduroy Button brads!!! Another purchase I didn't make (couldn't decide on a color!) and some of the new Jumbo Brads and some Designer Brads. I do not have any of these, so that is just perfect!!

Here are the inside goodies! I tried to get a picture of the bottoms of the little containers so you could see. She used the Tag punch and created a slit so it just folds in there. I'm in awe!

Cupid Day 1

My Swappers Anonymous friends had so much fun with our secret elf swap at Christmas that we all decided to do a secret cupid swap for Valentine's day! There is already talk of a secret bunny swap for Easter. Yes, we have a problem, but it is not one of those problems that need to be fixed! This time is only 3 days and our reveal gift will be opened on Valentine's Day! These woman are just so very talented, every time I think I've seen it all, I see something else. So, without further ado, I give you my most awesome day 1 cupid gift:

How gorgeous is this? Seriously! Look at the Fleurette on the closure? And the pocket. She used the new Eyelet Border punch, gorgeous! I can't wait to find out how to make this!
Inside the pocket on the outside, she sent me some of my very own Fleurettes!!! This is a girl that pays attention! (Which is very hard to do because I think our thread averages about 5,000 posts every 4-5 days or so, so it is easy to miss! But I mentioned that I wanted to get some of the Fleurettes on my first catalog order, but put it off because I had so many other things I wanted! Now I have some to play with, yippeee!!!!!

See that on the side? That is a brownie mix!! Yummy. Inside is little test tubes filled with chips for the brownies!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Did you think I forgot I had a blog? I didn't, just seems life gets in the way sometimes :) Anyone have that nasty stomach flu going around? That puts you out for a couple days! Plus we have been trying to paint some rooms, so I have not had easy access to my stamps! Makes for a very sad Crissy! I still don't have complete access, but I wanted to make something special for my daughter's daycare provider because she really helped us out this week (she does every week, but even more so this week) so I made her this little frap bottle filled with M&Ms.

Sorry about the shadows. I really only had time to take a couple pictures and this one is the best :)
I used the Candy Lane paper, Close to Cocoa cardstock through my paper crimper and added some buttons and ribbon.
I have not been able to make any valentines this year! I'm so sad! So to my friends and family that usually get a valentine, I'm sorry, it's not happening! But I still love ya! Maybe I'll do St. Patrick's Day cards...he he!
I have some swap projects that can be posted soon and hopefully I will get the stamp room situated to create more soon.

A Quilt Card

According to my friend Amy over at A New Song these cards are all the rage today! I've seen them around before, but I thought they looked to complicated to try, but as it turns out they are super easy! I used the new DSP, Tea Paper. I used Mono Multi to adhere all the squares to the white cardstock and let it dry before running it through the Big Shot.

The base of the card is Pretty in Pink and I tied Certainly Celery 5/8" grosgrain ribbon around the top. I stamped Birthday wishes in the corner using Perfect Plum, it doesn't show up very well, but I didn't want to cover up any of the top note with extra layers. I also added Filigree brad in the lower right hand corner. That's it. Very simple and very pretty. I was just playing around with this, I can't wait to do this again! I was thinking this would make a good Easter card. Just add a Happy Easter, what do you think? The colors are right!

Anyone else ready for spring? I love snow, I think it is so beautiful when it covers the trees and is all fluffy, but I hate driving in it, I hate when it takes an hour to get 10 minutes away!! Luckily we don't get a lot of snow here, but we did get over 10 inches yesterday. Oh well, it won't be long now, right?

Club Wish List

I have my very first club starting next week and I wanted to give the ladies something a little special with their new catalog, so I made these Wish List Book Marks and Pentel Pens.

I used Chocolate Chip and White cardstock. I printed the wish list out with their name on it and stamped it with a butterfly from Flight of the Butterfly in Riding Hood Red. Then I added a button in the corner with some linen thread tied through. Lastly I added some riding hood red ribbon in the corner. For the pens I just took a piece of Bella Rose DSP and folded it around the inside of the pen and tied a piece of Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon on the cap.

Hope they like them!

This it the card I created for the SA preview swap I hosted, I hope they liked it!

Actually this isn't an exact replica, because I used Pixie Pink on all the cards but mine, I ran out for mine, but it works either way.

Cardstock: Real Red, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White; Chocolate Chip
Ink: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Versamark.
Accessories: Iridescent Ice, White Embossing Powder, Dimensionals, Crystal Effects.
Stamp set: Goody Goody Gumdrops.

I stamped all the cherries on the Whisper White, colored in some of them with Pretty in Pink markers. The others I stamped over in versamark and added iridescent ice. I added Crystal Effects to all the cherries I colored in. For the ice cream I stamped it in chocolate chip paper, colored the top in with versamarker and embossed it with white embossing powder.

Cricut Thank You!

I've been trying to find time to play with my Cricut, not enough hours in the day, sadly! Anyway, I have come up with a couple of Thank You cards!

This is a card that I made for my very good friend for buying me a bunch of scrapbooking stuff for Christmas! She just spoils me! So to get some inspiration for cards I went to my happy place, otherwise known as Splitcoast :) I decided to look at some of the color challenges and I found this one. This is why that site is so awesome, I never would have thought of putting these colors together, but they look great!

Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black and Whisper White

Daughter's Christmas Card

Did you think Christmas was over? Nope, I still have Christmas stuff to share. This one is so cute I couldn't share it. This is the card I made for my daughter for Christmas:

Isn't that little girl just the cutest? I got that stamp at a stamp sale for 50 cents!! The side of the stamp says Great Impressions. I colored her in using various Stampin' write markers, added a little glitter to the red bows.

Cardstock is Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. Other stamps used where Frosty and Season of Joy. Night of Navy, Old Olive and Real Red grosgrain ribbon also used.

Recipe Holder

For Christmas this year I made my sister a recipe holder with family recipes in it. I put a few of our grandmother's best recipes, my favorite recipe, a couple of our mother's and I left a couple blank ones for her to put her favorite recipes.

I bought this little chipboard book with a wood block stand at my LSS and bought some paper and embellishments that had to do with cooking. It is really cute, here is a little slide show:

One more elf gift to post!

I just wanted to post one last project I sent to my secret elf. It was a lunch box tin filled with Necco wafers!

I found the paper at my LSS and I found some paint to match. I painted the lid of the tin and covered the rest in paper. I already had the flower and the ribbon so I just matched it to the paper a best I could. I was kinda sad to send this off, cuz I really liked it :) I've made four of these and I don't have one for myself. I might have to correct that one day.

I always make all this stuff and never make anything to keep.

Secret Elf Gifts

Christmas Presents

I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday! I can finally post some of my gifts that I have been working on!
This is what I made for my friends at work and DD's daycare and preschool teachers.
These were made using coasters and Bella Rose DSP and my bind it all. They are Desk Calendars. You can find the tutorial at Splitcoast. The tutorial also has a link to where to print out the calendars. The great thing about these is you can still do them if you do not have a bind it all, just use ribbon or orings! They are very easy to make. I used my Time Well Spent stamp set for my friends and for the teacher's gifts I used an old Stampin' Up! set that I bought at a scrapbook garage sale that has a crayon, ruler and apple. On my friend's calendars I also took a small chipboard letter, covered it with crystal effects and chunky red (non-SU) glitter and placed it on the front for a Monogram. They turned out really cute. I need to make one for myself, just haven't taken the time.
I also gave them a hodgepodge bookmark:
I made these to color coordinate with the desk calendar. I used the 3 flowers from a Flower for You stampset and colored them in using a blender pen and reinkers in Riding Hood and Pink Pirouette.

These are made by taking the Very Vanilla Designer Label hodgepodge hardware. You cut off the hole at the top and thread the ribbon through the bottom, adding the brad. Then punch out your image using the Designer Label punch and adhere it to the hodgepodge hardware with crystal effects. Let it dry and voila a bookmark! Very easy. I added a piece of the Bella Rose dsp to the back of the image before I glued it to the hardware.

My first Cricut Card!

I haven't had too much time to play with my new toy, but I did take a few minutes to set it up and make a quick Thank You card for my mom. It was fun. So far the only cartridge I have is the George, but I have ordered a couple so hopefully soon those will arrive. But I did have fun making this, I think I'm going to like it!

I used Chocolate Chip, Gable Green and Cameo Coral cardstock and very vanilla brads for the flowers. Very simple! I can't wait to try new things.

Secret Elf Days 9, 10, 11 & 12

Sorry to my secret elf because I am so behind on getting pictures of my last gifts! I didn't have a clean spot to take them!! he he! Yesterday was our final day and reveal and my wonderful friend Jen is my Secret Elf! She totally spoiled me and I love it!!

Here are my last, wonderful, perfect gifts:

Day 9 was a beautiful stamped candle! Which I will probably keep for ever because I hate to burn something so pretty! :)

Day 10 was a meander book that is just perfect! She sent me a bunch of punches to decorate it after I add pictures and journaling. I love the colors, it will be just right for my daughter's pictures!!

Day 11 was Stampin' Up!'s build a brads! I put these on my wish list because it was always something I wanted to try, but never bought!

Day 12 - our reveal gift, was supposed to include something from our home state and she sent me some Maple Syrup! (which I used yesterday on some french toast sticks and it was yummy!)

So Jen, thank you very much for all my goodies! I had so much fun with this and we are already talking about doing something for Valentine's Day, crazy swappers that we are!

Sympathy Card

I thought maybe I should share something that I've made since my last few posts have been what I've received. :) Unfortunately this is a sympathy card and I do not like having to do these at all, but especially at this time of year. I did this one quickly today because I was trying to catch the mail person, but I missed her by like 2 minutes!

Of course I used my top note die. That has been my best purchase for the Big Shot so far! I used Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla Cardstock; Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, So Saffron and Tango Tangerine ink; Flight of the Butterfly, Vases in Vogue and misc. sympathy stamp. I sponged the ink on the solid butterfly stamp, so its a little different. Then I added a bow in the Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon.

Secret Elf Days 7 & 8

I would like to change the name of the Secret Elf Swap to the Awesome Secret Elf Swap, because that is what my elf is! Yesterday she gave me a post-it note holder with a purple pen and my initial on it and today I got a little gift bag with a note saying "a little pampering" inside the bag was some lotion and some SU chap stick. The bag is so clever and cute!

Secret Elf Gifts Days 5 & 6

Technically, I opened my Day 7 gift today, but I took pictures of 5&6 yesterday and I am recharging the camera battery now, so I'll have to post 7 tomorrow :)

This one is Day 5: it is a Punch Art folder. Of course it is purple, my favorite color! Here is what you can find inside:

There is a printout of all the cool things you can do with different Stampin' Up! punches! I've seen these on Splitcoast but never really paid much attention to them, but now I have my own handy dandy little reference folder to look at while I actually have my punches right in front of me! How organized is that?! So awesome!

So day six was homemade reinker ornaments! They are so pretty. She used the current In Colors for them and they are just perfect! The coolest thing about this Secret Elf Swap is that I am getting things that I would probably make for someone else, but never take the time to make for myself (cuz I am weird that way), but now I don't have to, because my Secret Elf is doing that for me! She rocks!

Gift Card Holder

I used Old Olive, Real Red and Very Vanilla cardstock. Some leftover Dashing DSP from last year to make the bands to wrap around the holders and then used the Scallop Circle Punch and the Curvy Label Punch to make the tags.

I am finally done with all my Christmas cards and I think they are all in the mail! I have been using the top note die alot lately, so here are a couple more Christmas cards using the top note die!

For this one I used Night of Navy and Brushed Silver cardstock. I used the Snow Swirled stamp set and stamped the tree and sentiment in Night of Navy Craft ink and embossed it using ultra thick embossing powder. That's it! Another easy card. I made these for DH to give away at work.

Then for this card I used Old Olive, Riding Hood Red and
Very Vanilla Cardstock; Riding Hood Red ink; Old Olive
grosgrain ribbon and the Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon. The stamp set is Cute and Curly, I stamped the stripes in riding hood red and then stamped the Merry Christmas separately and cut out the oval. I punched two holes on either side of the top note cutout and tied the ribbon through then added the riding hood red taffeta ribbon. Another very simple card!

Place Cards

Here are the place cards I created for my bosses holiday party for one of his clients.

I used Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla and Riding Hood Red cardstock. I ran the Kiwi Kiss through my Big Shot using the Top Note die and then scored it in the middle and folded it in half. Then I printed every one's name and menu selections on Very vanilla paper and corner rounded it and adhered it to the Kiwi Kiss. Lastly I used a snow flake die and ran Riding Hood Red through the Big Shot and adhered the snow flake with a glue dot.

I had to go very simple because I wanted to get them done and I haven't been feeling very well today.

Secret Elf Gifts Days 3 & 4

Short post today just to show off my last two gifts! Day 3 I got 12x12 making memories in my favorite color, purple! Day 4 I got 2 SU reinkers, Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery! I love both of these colors and I have been using the Chocolate Chip ALOT so I am sure I will be using these soon!

Non-Traditional Christmas Card

We had Secret Santa at work last week and this is the Christmas Card I came up with for my reveal. My person likes butterflies, so I decided to put my Flight of the Butterfly to good use. I used Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock; Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss ink; Bella Rose DSP; Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. Not very traditional, but I liked how it turned out.

I also did a birthday card for another friend of mine. I really like these colors together.

Merry Candymas!

Saturday morning I got up at 6:00 a.m. and went grocery shopping. I came home with all the ingredients needed to make some candy.

So this is my BEFORE picture:

Then my husband and I got to work. Luckily my mom was watching DD, so we had the house to ourselves! My husband was in charge of the chocolate for covering the candies and pretzels. He plugged in the fondue pot and got to work!

Here is the AFTER picture taken at about 7:30 p.m., we worked very hard all day long, but it is worth it. This will fill up tins for about 20-25 of our coworkers and friends.

This is ALOT of candy! Of course we taste tested it and it is all very yummy! I still have to make some Chocolate Chip Cookies...I give a big box to my boss every year because he really likes them. I've been doing this for about 10 years I think. The first year I just made fudge and filled very small tins. Over the years the candies have gotten a little more extravagant. I don't make fudge anymore =)

Don't you feel like your getting a cavity just looking at this!

The 12 Days of Christmas.

Merry Christmas to me! I joined a fun swap this year with some of the wonderful ladies I met at convention. We met because we all had this little swapping addiction, but we have continued to talk and are becoming great friends. So we are doing a Secret Elf Swap. Each day we get to open a new gift and on the last day we learn who sent us the gifts. How fun is that?

Here is what my Secret Elf sent me:

The Scrapbook Case is my first gift and then she put all the rest of my gifts inside. I can't wait to open them all! I'm going to wait, but it is really going to be hard!!

The funny thing is I was going to buy one of these last weekend and I decided to wait until after Christmas to see if I could get it on sale! How cool is that?

Our little group is a very talented bunch of ladies. I always look forward to seeing anything they create. This swap could be items purchased or made.

My second gift was a tic tac holder:

Since this is the only time of year I can use my Snowflake embossing folder I thought I would do another card with it. I used Real Red, Whisper White and Glorious Green cardstock. Real Red Ink, Glorious Green, Pumpkin Pie and Black Stampin' Write Markers. I used the Frosty stamp set and stamped Happy Holidays in Real Red on the Whisper White cardstock before running it through the Big Shot. I stamped Frosty in Black on Whisper White and then colored him in and added some stickles at the bottom for the snow and layered him on a piece of Glorious Green card stock. Very simple and easy!

Can you believe it is less than two weeks until Christmas! Where did this year go? If anyone finds out, please let me know, I'm curious! I am getting ready, but still a lot to do!

Tonight we go to my firm's Christmas party, so that should be fun!

Party Invitation

I wanted something very simple for our Christmas Party invites and decided to use my cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. I used Night of Navy cardstock and Night of Navy craft ink. I stamped the You're Invited (non SU) on Whisper White then ran it through my Big Shot using the embossing folder. Then I cut off the top portion at a diagonal and used the Scallop Edge punch. I made the snowflake using the Big Shot and the Snowflake Sizzlit. I used a pop dot to adhere the snowflake. I am pleased how they turned out.

On the inside (not shown) I stamped some snow flakes in Whisper White craft ink. And put the information about the party on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped some Night of Navy snowflakes. The inside is almost as cute as the outside!

It's Beginning to Look alot Like Christmas!

We got some snow this weekend! Not a lot, but it was the big fluffy kind so it was very pretty! And enough to make driving a bit of a hassle, but that's OK. Friday night I went to a crop at my LSS and they showed us how to make this snow flake:

This was made with 7 pieces of double sided scrapbook paper, I think they were 3x3. I am going to make a few more to put around the house as decorations. They are a good size. At first it was kind of hard to do, but after you get started it is easier. If anyone is interested in learning how to make these, let me know and I will attempt a tutorial!

Holidays

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! We went out of town for the holiday and had a great time! I just wanted to check in and tell you I'm still here and don't give up on my blog! I have a ton of things to show you but can't because the recipients haven't received them yet! I am hoping to create something this week that will be postable! I try to post something creative at least once a week, sometimes more, but until Christmas is over I will probably not be able to post as much. But after Christmas, watch out! I will post everything! I guess it is good that the people I make gifts for read my blog, but I have some really cute things I can't wait to share!!

I can't post without a picture, so I will leave you with a picture of one of my favorite buildings in Chicago! DH and I celebrated our 11th anniversary in Chicago this year (in June!) and I took this picture. I believe this is the Wrigley Building.

Carousel Notes Card

This is actually the first card I have made with the Carousel Notes. I wasn't exactly sure what to do, but I like how it turned out. The Scalloped Carousel

Note is Groovy Guava. I used Green Tea DSP and my Creative Memories circle cutters. Then I made a smaller circle with more Groovy Guava and cut a half circle of DSP to make a pocket. I made a large tag and stamped Thinking of You. I used some hodgepodge on the end and tied some White Taffeta Ribbon to it. I punched holes at the top and tied a bow there as well.

Friendship Top Note Book

I have a very dear friend of mind with a birthday coming up. We do not see each other very often, but we had lunch this week and when I saw this blog with these little books, I knew exactly what I was going to do for my friend.

I used Green Tea DSP and Old Olive, Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze cardstock and ink. I used various stamp sets through out (the book was only 4 pages). All the stamps where friend related. On each page I wrote with a Stampin' Write marker 1 reason why I feel like my friend is a good friend to me. When I gave it to her I told her that this way she can look at it whenever she wants and know that I am her friend and will always be there for her, even though we don't talk all the time. She cried and was happy with the little book. I used chipboard for each page of the book and covered it with either DSP or cardstock and used my Bind it All to put it all together. Very simple project. Then I needed a gift bag for this and her other present (a gift card). So I made a little bag that I've been wanting to do since I saw it on this blog last year! Now these colors didn't match the DSP 100%, but very close.

For this I used the Carousel Notes I bought last year, so this is actually Sky Blue. I used the Garden Tea DSP again, Certainly Celery ribbon, Jumbo eyelets, misc flower and brad and Creative Memories Cutting system to cut the circle. I used my Crop A Dile too! this was the perfect little bag for her gifts and she loved it. This was very easy to make as well. It is funny, I see these projects that look like fun but I stay away from them or put them off because they sound a little complicated, then I do them and I think how easy it was, why didn't I do this sooner?!

Holiday Happening!

I spent Saturday at a local church making crafts. It was a day filled with crafts, food and a silent auction. I got a couple of Christmas presents taken care of and the best part is the proceeds benefit a local chairty. The morning is spent making smaller crafts and then after lunch we spent time making one large craft. This year I chose to make this snowman. I try to choose a craft that I wouldn't normally do on my own. This was really fun to make and very easy. The body of the snowman was already cut out and sewn for us, we just had to stuff it and decorate. He is just so cute! I was going to give him away, but I'm not sure I can... Isn't he just the cutest?

I guess this means the holiday season has started. Can you believe Thanksgiving is just over 2 weeks away? Where has this year gone? My blog posts may become less frequent through the holidays because a lot of my creations are going to be gifts and I don't want to spoil any suprises! I will at least post once a week. Then after Christmas I will be able to post all the fun stuff!

Berry Bliss Gift Bag

OK, I decided to make a gift bag for my notebook I made. I had this small tote bag and I copied the idea from the bag we made at convention. The Cardstock is Pretty in Pink and Berry Bliss DSP along with some Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon. Stampset is Doodle This.

This bag was perfect for the notebook and the little gift card holder.

Altered Pail

Have you ever shopped at the Dollar Spot at Target? Every now and then you can find a good deal for a dollar! So you buy all these items for a dollar and then you never use them, not such a good deal, so I decided I needed to start using up some of my $1 deals! This little pail would be perfect for a small gift for a friend...with some candy or some other small items. I don't have specific purpose for it yet, but it is ready for when I need it, right?
So I used the red pail from Target. I took some rub-ons from the last Sale-A-Bration (I think), these rub-ons are Wild Wasabi. I put celebrate on the front and a few flowers around the pail. I punched 2 holes using my crop-a-dile and put two jumbo eyelets inside. Then I used my Striped Wild Wasabi ribbon and tied a cute bow.

Cute, huh?

Gift Card Holder

I wanted to find a gift card holder to give to my friend a gift card, so I found this simple holder on Julie's Stampin' Spot.

I used Pretty in Pink Cardstock and stamped on the outside using Purely Pomegranate and the French Script stampset. To keep the gift card closed I made a band using a strip of the Berry Bliss from the notebook. I used my Scallop Circle Punch on Purely Pomegranate. And stamped the sentiment from Best Yet (Level 1 Hostess Set) in Close to Cocoa on Very Vanilla Cardstock. I thought this sentiment was perfect for this!

For the inside I used the Eastern Blooms stampset and stamped various images in Close to Cocoa and Purely Pomegranate. Very easy to make. I foresee making a few of these for Christmas!

Election Day Challenge

One of my SBS2 sisters, Lori, posted a challenge on our Ning page. The challenge was to create something patriotic in honor of the election and Veteran's Day. I had some ideas in my head, but when my much anticipated Top Note Die for my Big Shot arrived today, those ideas flew out my head and this one popped in! (Once the voices stopped I was able to create this! Just kidding, or am I?) =-) I used Night of Navy for the base, Real Red for the Top Note and Whisper White for the next layer. I used the stars from the Bitty Backgrounds stamp set and colored the stars with Night of Navy marker and the dots with Real Red marker. I stamped the Thank You on Real Red cardstock using Whisper White craft ink. I punched it out using my 1" square punch and used some of my retired Hodpodge Hardware (finally). I punched 2 holes in the top for ribbon (Night of Navy and Real Red Grosgrain) and used my corner rounder on the edges. I have to say, after using it twice and only owning it for an hour, I love the Top Note Die!

I did one more too - same colors, just switched to landscape, used my oval punch and didn't add any ribbon.

Election Day!

A couple weeks ago I purchased a Bind it All, yay! I was a little intimidated with using it, but it was very easy. Here is a little note book I made a friend for her birthday.

I used two 4x4 coasters and covered them with some leftover Berry Bliss DSP from the last catalog. Then I punched the wholes and placed the ring in and closed it. I used the Chocolate Chip Satan Ribbon from last year's mini and ran it across the side and placed a small flower at the bottom with a brad. You can hardly tell from the picture, but the small circles have a pink rhinestone in them.

For the inside I just put plain white paper, but I did decorate the inside cover:

I used Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink and then Whisper White. I used the stamp from Time Well Spent and colored it and of course a couple more pink rhinestones.

Baby Wipe Technique

Thanks to my SA group I had to try this technique! I am not 100% sure I did it right, but the effect is kind of cool. You can find the directions here on Splitcoast. I used Riding Hood Red for the base of the card and the next layer is Kiwi Kiss. For the Baby Wipe technique I used Tango Tangerine and Riding Hood Red on White Glossy Cardstock. I stamped the Inspiration Blooms stamps using Black Staz On and the Happy Birthday is from sincere Salutations. I ticket corner punched the Glossy Cardstock and put Orange (non-SU!) brads in each corner. I had a hard time getting a good picture because of the glossy cardstock. I think next time I will use lighter colors, but I really think this is a cool technique.

Prior to going to convention I joined a little group of woman who all had the same problem/addiction. Our problem was swapping! We would meet online on a daily, sometimes hourly basis to discuss our swapping issues. Well after convention we learned that this problem wasn't fixed and we wanted to do more swapping so now we are swapping together! Isn't that fun! I received my package of swaps last week and they are all so beautiful! This is the the card that I sent in for the swap:

You can't tell by the picture, but the base of the card is Whisper White, then Night of Navy. I embossed the Christmas Tree from Snow Swirled on Brushed Silver Cardstock using Night of Navy Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. I embossed the Snow Flake and Season's Greetings (also from Snow Swirled) on the Night of Navy using Silver Embossing powder. I took some White Grosgrain and Night of Navy Grosgrain and tied a bow around the top of the tree.

The cool thing about swapping is you only have to come up with one idea and then you get a ton of ideas back! Do you understand why we have a problem??

Happy Halloween - Part 3

I'm sorry for the lack of imagination and or originality in titles lately! I just wanted to quickly show you what I did today! I took my daughter trick or treating with some friends and i decided to make all the kids little treat bags. I only had to do four, but they were pretty cute. I just took small lunch bags and cut off the top, put DSP on and created a handle. I put some candy, a pencil, small bubbles, some light sticks and some of the scallop punch spiders that have been infesting all of Splitcoast Stampers! These are just adorable! You can't tell by the picture, but I used google eyes and I used some bling for the nose. Really cute. Just a little something cute!

Tonight was my daughter's first time trick or treating and she caught on to this fast! The first house we went to had a bowl sitting out and they let the kids grab a couple of treats. Well my daughter is standing there putting treat after treat in her pumpkin, I had to go up there and put some if back! At other houses she would just ask for more and people kept giving it to her. I don't think it is easy to say no to a 3 yo dressed like Dorothy! One house she actually did a little dance and after she got her candy she took a bow! She is so cute. I hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween!

Next up ...Thanksgiving...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Happy Halloween - Part 2

These are the last of my Halloween treats! I made these for my daughters daycare. They were a lot quicker than what I did for preschool!

I used the Big Shot and the Pillow Box Die to make the pillow boxes. The DSP is Ghostly Greetings. Then I just tied a piece of Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon around and attached a Basic Black Scallop Circle with a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that says Happy Halloween and has a little pumpkin stamped on it in Basic Black Ink. The Happy Halloween is from All Year Cheer (not sure which one) and the Pumpkin is from the Halloween Frights out of the mini. I just filled them with a little bag of M&M minis and one smarties. They don't hold too much, which is good because the kids are going to have enough treats, right? Hope everyone has a very Happy and Safe Halloween!!!

Stamped Tiles

Here are some stamped tiles I did for my stamped tiles class I am having next month. I wanted to put a picture on my flyer to entice! We are doing four coasters and one trivet. I used the Frosty Stamp Set for the trivet and one of the coasters. I thought it was perfect for that. These will make great gifts. I did a bunch last year for gifts, but not the trivet. These are so easy and fun to make. The directions can be found on Splitcoast.

Has this year just flown by or what? I can't believe Halloween is just a couple days away! Then Thanksgiving will be here and then Christmas and then it will be 2009! WOW!
